4 Days Trip to Marrakech from Fes
Day 1: Fes-Ifrane-Azrou-Erfoud-Merzouga.
We will start our tour towards Merzouga by picking you up from your accommodation in Fes. Then, we will drive through Imouzar, we can stop there for breakfast. Our first visit will be to the statue of the atlas lion in Ifrane, it was curved by a German prisoner to gain his freedom by the French. After that, we will stop to visit the monkeys at the forest of Cedar trees in Azrou, they are one of the animals that are still living there.
Next, we will drive across the middle atlas mountains and through Midelt, the city of apples. There, we can have lunch and some rest. Afterward, we will drive this time across the high atlas mountains of Tizi Ntlghomt to arrive at the dam of Errachidia. That is to say, the lake where the government keeps the water for the Sahara.
After that, we will stop at the panoramic view of Ait Chaker, a valley where there are thousand of dates palms trees. We will drive to Erfoud, the city is famous for the international festival of dates. Also, it’s a known city for the fossils. Therefore, we will visit one of the museums and the souk of dates.
Eventually, we will arrive to Merzouga Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We will stop of an overview before we take you to a hotel in the center.
Day 2: Merzouga desert tour.
Our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech includes a full visit to Merzouga. Our driver will come to your hotel when you are ready, he will take you on an adventure to fully explore the Sahara. Therefore, he will drive you to visit the town of Khamlia, where the Gnaoua people will play their African music. Next, we will drive you to visit the Mine of Mifis, where they used to mine mascara and salt. Then, we will take you to visit the nomads, they are people who live in tents, we will see how they live in tents, and where they keep their herd and much more. Later, we will visit the oasis of Hassi Labied, the agriculture of Merzouga.
Eventually, we will take you on the camels across Erg Chebbi dunes, we will take you to experience the nomadic life at our Berber luxury camp, the highlight of our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech.. There, our team of Berbers will play drums after dinner. Then, you can walk up the dunes for the view of the stars as it is safe.
Day 3: Merzouga-Rissani-Todgha Gorges- Dades Gorges.
In the morning, you will do the camel ride back to Merzouga. Then, our driver will take you to Rissani, the original city of the Alaouite dynasty. Next, we will drive to visit the wells where Berbers used an old system of irrigation to water their oases. After that, we will stop at the canyons of Todgha gorges, 300m in height, and also there is a river in between.
We will drive to Dades. There, we will visit the monkey toes mountains and also the curves of Tissdrine. They are also considered the highlight of our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. Overnight will be in a hotel there.
Day 4: Dades-rose valley- Ouarzazate- Ait Benhaddou- Marrakech.
On the last day of our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. we will visit some historical places. To start with, we will visit Kalaat Mgouna rose cooperative, where the choose the Moroccan queen of rose followers. Then, we will drive to Ouarzazate, we will stop there to visit one of the atlas studios where they made parts of movies. For instance, the movie Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. Also, the city is famous for the biggest solar station in Africa.
Our next stop will be Ait Benhaddou, the Berber fortress that was built by the Glaoui family. There, we will go hiking for about an hour, we will take you to see where they made also a part of the movie Gladiator and some other famous movies.
Afterward, we will drive to Marrakech across the high atlas mountains, we will stop at the highest point of 2260m. Also, we will stop at the cooperative of argan oil. Eventually, we will take you to your accommodation in Marrakech, and that’s the end of our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech.
